Pond released two beautiful albums on Sub Pop (1993’s s/t album and 1994’s The Practice of Joy Before Death) before making the jump to the majors…
In 1997, Pond released the magnificent Rock Collection on Sony/Work. A record that sonically was filled with angular guitar riffs, sharp and dynamic drums, and wonderfully harmonic vocals. An album that clearly that stands the test of time and sadly, never got the attention it was due. With your help, we’re hoping to change that.
Latent Print Records & Gravy Lane Records are working together to help see that this album receives the vinyl treatment it so rightfully deserves. And what better way to celebrate the 25th anniversary of this amazing album with vinyl and renunion shows, right?
Normally a project like this has a typical process in getting it ready for vinyl (transferring/mastering audio, recreating artwork, printing, pressing, etc.) However there’s also an additional step of the added licensing costs from Sony in order to be able to make this happen (which as you can imagine, isn’t a small number)
We’ve put together a pre-order campaign that offers up some pretty great (and limited) rewards (shirts! lyrics! hats! show tickets! screen printed posters! & more!) to help us achieve our goal as we move forward to present this record with the utmost of love and care on beautifully colored vinyl.
We greatly appreciate your interest and contribution in helping to make this happen.
Thank you so much for your time and support in helping get the word out.
